Our Story
Saplings started in March 2010 with one small truck, a fork lift and a handful of dedicated staff with previous industry experience.

They say “once you enter the timber industry you never leave”. Our team has been small but focused since the beginning, with an emphasis on industry experience and customer service.
We pride ourselves on product knowledge and ensuring that our clients are supplied with the best quality products available for their requirements.
The intention has always been to market our products to clients who know what they want, and therefore the focus has been on supplying merchants and manufacturers. In addition to this, we supply our products to specialist contractors in roofing, timber frame structures and decking installations.
Our Process
Our range of products has expanded over the years, from our initial focus on timber, plywood and fibre cement products, to an increased focus on importing board and hardwood decking products to expand our market.
We added machining facilities to service the pine P.A.R market and produce our own pine mouldings and specialised products.

We have two main warehouse and production facilities located in Parow Industria in Cape Town, close to the International Airport.
Our distribution area using our own fleet of trucks is up to Vredendal on the West Coast and to the Garden Route through to Gqeberha. Our drivers make trips on these routes on a weekly basis.
